As a resident clinical social worker, my mission is to provide culturally competent, holistic psychological services which aim to promote individual growth.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Norfolk State University in 2015. After which, I attended Liberty University and received my Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling; Marriage and Family concentration in 2018. In 2020, I furthered my education and re-enrolled at Norfolk State University where I received my Master of Social Work: Clinical Concentration in 2022.
I have served in many capacities within the clinical social work and mental health fields for over nine (9) years. In my experience, I have worked with individuals ranging in age from 5 to late adulthood. Additionally, my clientele included individuals from an array of cultural backgrounds including LGBTQIA+, Hispanic, Native American, Muslim, and more.
I specialize in providing outpatient therapy for those who have been diagnosed with Serious Mental Illnesses and Serious Emotional Disturbances- depressive, conduct, mood, gender, and adjustment disorders.
In my practice, I utilize several treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused- CBT, and Behavior Therapy.
