Message from the Executive Director

 "Today, community services boards are routinely contending with rapid changes in funding, legislation and health care administration.  The demand for greater accountability, efficiency, and proven customer satisfaction had necessitated increased cooperative planning and stronger administrative oversight.  As with all behavioral health care providers, we are forced to continually re-configure resources, re-develop policies, and re-organize existing programs and service structures in order to remain competitive and compliant with regulations.

Throughout these changes, our mission has remained the same: to provide a coordinated system of exemplary care in Mental Health, Intellectual Disability and Substance Abuse Services to the citizens of Suffolk, Franklin, Isle of Wight, and Southampton communities.

Toward this end, the Leadership Team has developed an organizational structure and agency philosophy that values staff, supports diversity, and promotes excellence in the quality of consumer care.  We have identified clear, definable goals and objectives for the next several years.  These will help guide our efforts, with a sense of vision and purpose."
